This is the weekly update for the 1/26/10 general meeting! I know everyone is studying for midterms and stressing, but if you would like a nice and relaxing Friday night to calm your nerves, come to our Hot Cocoa and Games Night this Friday! If you would like to know more about it, you can find the event below under the Membership section =). As always, here are a few friendly reminders from the day's meeting and if you'd like to attend any of the events, simply email the commissioner in charge.

Rotary International Convention - Sunday - Wednesday, June 20-23, 2010, in Montreal, Canada.
Meet Rotarians from all over the world! To attend the event, pay the $100 registration fee. Email the president for more information and the link, or google it!.
BIG NIGHT!
Friday, 1/29 - We will be putting fliers together for the event from 11 AM - 1 PM @ the Hallmark Inn (110 F Street)
Friday, 2/5 - We will be setting up the silent auction in two shifts: 1) 12 PM - 2 PM & 2) 2 PM - 4 PM @ the Hallmark Inn
Saturday, 2/6 - The BIG NIGHT! Location: El macero Country Club. We have three possible shifts for this event.
1) 3 PM - 5:45 PM: SET UP. This requires no dress code. (There is no volunteer limit on this shift.)
2) 5 PM - 7:30 PM: Registration and Greeting. There is a dress code for this shift. (Requires 3 more volunteers)
3) 7:30 PM - 11 PM: Dinner, Live auction, and clean up. The dress code also applies to this shift. (7+ volunteers)

IRWS Dinner Crew - Dates TBA, ~6 PM - 8 PM, Davis Lutheran Church, 317 E. 8th St.
We will prepare and serve a hot dinner for our homeless guests and volunteers. You will be setting up and serving food and there is a mandatory training session for this event. You may attend the training session for this event on Feb 7th or Feb 14th, 2010.
Freakin Awesome Friday: Quilting #2 - Friday, 1/29, 3PM-6PM, Gilmore Study Lounge -- meet at MU Flagpole @4PM if you don't know where Gilmore is located
We will be sewing together panels to make sheets! Be there :) These quilts will be going towards the Disneyland project! Be sure to attend if you want that ticket to Disneyland!
Central Park Gardens - Saturday, 1/30, 9AM - 11AM @ Central Park
Help beautify and maintain the Central Park Gardens! If you like gardening, this is the event for you. Dress in comfortable work clothes to get down and dirty!
