This is the weekly update for the 1/19/10 general meeting! Hey guys welcome back to school and we hope you had a lovely MLK weekend and had fun at Winter Retreat if you went.As always, here are a few friendly reminders from the day's meeting and if you'd like to attend any of the events, simply email the commissioner in charge.

 

NOTE: There's a change with the Young Tree Planting Event -- the shift is from 9-12, not 9-3, so be sure to update your calendar if you're attending!

Rotary International Convention - Sunday - Wednesday, June 20-23, 2010, in Montreal, Canada.

Young Tree Planting Event - Saturday, January 23, 9AM - 12PM, J Street & 8th Street

        Please arrive promptly for the demonstration planting and plan to stay until the end. Wear sturdy, close-toed shoes, and long pants, as tree care can be muddy. Volunteers in sandals or flip flops will not be able to participate because we want you to be safe. Tree Davis will provide tools, but you may bring your own pruners and gloves if desired.

 

IRWS Dinner Crew - 1/25-1/28, Times TBA, Davis Lutheran Church, 317 E. 8th St.

        We will prepare and serve a hot dinner for our homeless guests and volunteers. Please plan on cooking for 25 guests plus volunteers (usually around 10). You can bring milk and/or a vegetarian meal if you want.

 

Freakin Awesome Friday: Quilting #2 - Friday, 1/29, 4PM-6PM, Gilmore Study Lounge -- meet at MU Flagpole @4PM if you don't know where Gilmore is located

        We will be sewing together panels to make sheets! Be there :)

Hot Cocoa and Games Night - Friday, 1/29, 6:30 PM - ???, Stacy and Katie's place @ the Colleges
