Hello All!
Happy New Year and welcome back to Davis! We hope everyone had a lovely break and is ready to jump back into the Rotaract fun! We have a lot planned for this quarter, so come by our Winter Kickoff on Tuesday, January 12, at 6:10pm in Olson 6 to hear about more service, more connection-building, and more friendship-building opportunities!

Winter Kickoff Meeting:
Tuesday January 12, 2010 at 6:10 pm in Olson 006
Make sure to come to our first meeting of Winter Quarter and attend every Rotaract meeting at this new location every Tuesday night!

Winter Retreat Information:

DATES
We've decided that Winter Retreat this year will start on Friday, January 15th to Sunday January 17th. Each club, as Berkeley Rotaract is joining us, will coordinate their own departure time, but we will be heading back some time around 10am or 11am Sunday morning.

COST
We've finalized the cost: $40! This will cover lodging, food, and round trip gas costs. This doesn't, however, cover spending money, snowboard/ski rentals, or lift ticket costs.
Also, please bring this payment to the Winter Kickoff meeting next Tuesday -- cash or check accepted. =)

ATTENDANCE
We're going to attempt to strictly adhere to what we've got on Facebook - it's the most effective medium we have to coordinate a cross-club event.
IMPORTANT: If you're planning on attending, please mark so on the Facebook event. If you aren't attending, please note so. And for all the maybe attending people: we'll consider you as not attending. If your RSVP changes, please note so on Facebook. If you have a guest, please check with your officers if you can bring someone. This will make it much easier to coordinate rides, food, etc.
We're going to lock attendance by 11:59PM on Saturday, January 9th! So please correctly RSVP by then.

DRIVERS?
If you are attending and are able to drive, please let us know via email by Sunday, January 10th to allow us to finalize the trip's logistics.

THINGS TO BRING
Warm clothes
Snowboarding/skiing clothes (if you don't have any, at least bring some non-cotton/non-denim pants!)
Toiletries (toothpaste, toothbrush, etc)
Spending Money
Snowboarding/Skiing gear
Board games, other group games
Your fun selves

GAMES
So for those late nights, we should have a few board games to play! If you're willing to bring a board game, or have a game idea, please post them on the FB wall or let your local Rotaract officer know. That way, we won't have repeats of the same game and have a lot of different things to do!

If you have any more questions, please post them on the FB wall!

Thanks everyone, and we hope to see you next Tuesday!
For now, feel free to drop by our table in the East Quad from 10-2 this week to say hello =)
